Chutney Bacchanal take three

It’s chutney bacchanal, part three!

      Southex, producers of the International Chutney Soca Monarch competition have been banned from staging an event on Sutton Street San Fernando on carnival Monday night.

       The San Fernando City Corporation blanked the event without giving a reason.

          Southex says the event is 'free' of charge to the City and citizens of San Fernando and was  one of the best-produced events in 2011 when more than five thousand people attended. It was also incident free.

         The organizers have apologised to fans, insisting the situation was way beyond its control.
