Many musicians and celebrities alike turned out last night to celebrate the 2011 video music awards, but one guy who definitely wasn’t in the audience was Maroon5 front man Adam Levine.
Adam took to his twitter account over the weekend to express his displeasure with MTV and their VMA show. The tweet posted on Saturday afternoon read "The VMA's. One day a year when MTV pretends to still care about music."
The anti-VMA rant comes seven years after Maroon 5 was given the Best New Artist trophy beating artists like Kanye West, Jet and Yellowcard for the award.
Justin Timberlake also shared similar sentiments in the past when he urged MTV to play more music videos.
Maroon5 wasn’t nominated for any awards at the 2011 VMAs nor did any of the members attend the show.
